35th Ave Locksmith The Future Of Locks
It may seem strange to start our conversation about the future of locks by starting with smartphones but that may be the very best way. Smartphones are no longer phones first and foremost. They've become command centers for the high-tech hassles of day-to-day life. Everything from Internet browsing and picture-taking to instant messaging and credit card transactions can be done from your ubiquitous communications device.
But one holdout of the analog world has innovators and entrepreneurs scrapping for a digital solution: the centuries-old lock-and-key. It makes sense to fuse those three most essential personal possessions, your phone, wallet and keys into a single device?
Unlike the phone or wallet, though, the challenge here is to replace not just a single house key, but your entire key chain, otherwise, what's the point? If you add smartphone functionality for just one or two locks, all you've done is complicate your entry situations.
For this reason, many analysts foresee slow market growth, especially when it comes to domestic use of smart locks.
Locks and doors tend to have long life cycles. Apart from newly built places, the addressable market may expand rather slowly.
Despite an uncertain outlook, the market is rife with competition. Kevo, Bitlock, Lockitron, UniKey, Goji, KISI, ECKey and August Smart Lock are a few of the start-ups attempting to improve on the traditional house key.
A lock must be secure but easy to use. A typical home entry door may have to accommodate adults, adults with special needs and children. Currently there are keyed locks and a combination touchpad and keyed entries. For the addition of a lock controlled by a smartphone the lock must still allow entry in case your smartphone is forgotten, lost or damaged.
Entry into your locked car can have a keyfob that broadcasts a single so that as you approach your car the door automatically unlocks. People with special needs could use a device like this to open their entry door to replace the now garage door remote like opener.
No matter how the lock world changes you will still need people that understqand and can imnstall and service these new high-tech devices.
A quick visit to 35thavelocksmith.com can help solve all of your locksmith needs. We provide auto, residential and commercial locksmith services to meet all of our customers' needs. Our services include key cutting, lock change, lock repair, and 24/7 emergency lockout services. We are a family owned and operated locksmith company in Phoenix Arizona. Our company is over 30 years old and at its heart is a certified locksmith.

35th Ave Locksmith Presents Key Arizona Places: Administration and Science Building Arizona State University
The Administration and Science Building, originally known as Science Hall, is a building on the campus of Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. It is the second-oldest building on campus, constructed in 1909. It currently houses the University Club, a members-only institution open to faculty, staff and community members.
Science Hall is a two-story brick building measuring 70 feet by 92 feet, constructed on a granite foundation. While Science Hall is executed in the Queen Anne style with its scale, massing and steeply pitched roof, it also reflects how Classical Revival influences had been growing since the turn of the century, with denticulated cornices; an arcaded entry; and a pedimented Palladian dormer.
The building, designed by D. W. Millard and built by Harvey D. Patton, was constructed in 1909 as one of three original buildings that formed the first quad of the Territorial Normal School in Tempe. Old Main is the only other building that survives today. It was originally constructed to house the school's small science department as well as administrative functions.
As the normal school grew, the building was soon modified. It was remodeled in 1935 and again in 1950; the latter renovation coincided with the science department moving to a new Sciences Building (now known as Discovery Hall) and the conversion of "Old Science Hall" into the home of Arizona State College's English department.
The 1950 addition, with Mel Ensign as architect, added a fire stair and restroom projection and was one of several alterations to the now-historic buildings on campus (around the same time, an expansion was made to Old Main). In the mid-1960s, the English department moved to its own new home: the Language and Literature Building, located across from the Old Science Building on the quad and at the corner of University Drive and College Avenue. Soon after, during the Vietnam War, ROTC programs moved in, and by the 1980s it was known as the "Fine Arts Annex" and housed some arts programs.
In the summer of 1983, the School of Art was told that the structure, whose foundation had been damaged by rot and termites, was no longer suitable to be occupied; the building was slated for demolition. However, in the mid-1980s, several university buildings from the 1930s and earlier were listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Fine Arts Annex.
After the building's designation as historic, renovations were made to remove the 1950 Ensign addition and restore the building to its original appearance. In 1989, the University Club was created as a members-only club for faculty, staff and parents of current ASU students.

35th Ave Locksmith Says Protect Children From Toxic Chemicals in Your Home
There are some very simple steps you can take to help you save children from environmental hazards around the home. Follow our ABC steps to help protect your children and pets.
A. Always store pesticides and other household cleaning products, chemicals, including chlorine bleach, out of children's reach. Preferably stored in a securely locked child proof cabinet.
B. Read the Label FIRST! Pesticide products, household cleaning products, and pet products can be dangerous or ineffective if too much or too little is used.
C. Before applying pesticides or other household chemicals, remove children and their toys, as well as pets, from the area. Keep children and pets away until the pesticide has dried or as long as is recommended on the label. Read and follow all label cautions. If your use of a pesticide or other household chemical is interrupted (perhaps by a phone call), properly reclose the container and remove it from children’s reach. Always use household products in child-resistant packaging.
D. Never transfer pesticides to other containers that children may associate with food or drink (like soda or water bottles), and never place rodent or insect baits where small children can get to them.
E. When applying insect repellents to children, read all directions first; do not apply over cuts, wounds, or irritated skin; do not apply to eyes, mouth, hands, or directly on the face; and use just enough to cover exposed skin or clothing, but do not use under clothing.
F. Homes built before 1978 may have been painted with lead-based paint. If you plan to remodel or renovate, get your home tested. Never try to remove lead paint yourself. Ask about lead when buying or renting a home. Sellers and landlords must disclose known lead hazards in houses or apartments built before 1978. If you have any doubts get your child tested for lead. There are no visible symptoms of lead poisoning, and children may suffer behavior or learning problems as a result of exposure to lead paint hazards.
G. Another hazard that can be found in older homes is asbestos. The mere presence of asbestos in a home or a building is not hazardous. The danger is that asbestos materials may become damaged over time. Damaged asbestos may release asbestos fibers and become a health hazard. During remodeling asbestos particles can become airborne and that is when it becomes a serious health hazard.
H. Wash children’s hands, toys, and bottles often. Regularly clean floors, window sills, and other surfaces to reduce possible exposure to lead, cleaning chemicals and pesticide residues.

35th Ave Locksmith How To Prevent A Door Kick In!
The bottom line is that the weakest part on your door is going to break if it is kicked hard enough. If you do not reinforce your door jamb or the lock area on the door and hinges, your door can still be kicked in! When buying a product to stop a kick-in, you are wasting your money if you don’t reinforce all three week points on your door.
Any company who tells you that reinforcing one area on your door is sufficient has never really tested what they are trying to sell you. If door protection were not necessary, we would not put locks on our doors. If longer screws were adequate to prevent hinges from being kicked-in, that is all we would provide.
Replacing the door lock: with an ANSI Grade 1 (the highest) is just the start of a secure front door, because the reality is most burglars don't even bother picking the lock. Besides entering through an open window or door left unlocked, a great many burglars simply kick in the front door.
Replace the deadbolt strike plate: The strike plate is the metal piece where the deadbolt latch secures into the door frame. In most cases the strike plate is only capable of holding the door shut, not really strong enough to prevent the door from being opened during a forced entry. Installing or replacing a strike plate with a stronger box strike model with longer screws and a full metal enclosure for the latch to lock into will improve the door's ability to withstand a few full force kicks.
Replace cheap hollow core doors with solid wood or metal doors: Hollow core doors should only be used for interior spaces, not for exterior entries. Solid wood doors are a bit more expensive, but infinitely stronger than hollow core.
Secure the door hinges: If an experienced burglar notices a door swings outward, he may resort to attacking at the door's Achilles’ heel: the hinges. There are three methods to improve security at this vulnerable point: setscrew in the hinge, fast-riveted (crimped) pins, and safety studs. All three prevent the hinge pin from being removed and the door from being lifted up and off.
Add a layer of security and lighting: Ideally, a would-be burglar would take a look at your front door and just skip it at first glance. Making it clear the front door is under surveillance with sufficient lighting can make your home more trouble than it's worth.

35th Ave Locksmith Buy Cheap Buy Twice or More Applies to Locks
Have you heard the phrase… “Buy Cheap = Buy Twice?” Some folks even say that it should read “Buy Cheap, Buy Twice or More.”
Maybe the bigger question is has it happened to you? Have you chosen a cheap model thing thinking it was saving you money and then it broke or wore out and you had to replace it sooner than you expected?
Why do you think they sell cheap pens in packs of four or more?
The old adage of “buy cheap, buy twice” has never been truer. Not only has this definition of false economy endured, its essence is now amplified. If you buy cheap, not only will you buy twice, three times etc., but ultimately you will pay in other ways…pollution, illness.
The alternative is equally true… Buy BETTER, Buy LESS. Better quality the first time……less trips to the returns department, less testing of the warranty policy, less time wasted, better quality consumer goods… less line-up time, car time, internet price checking time, emotional expenditure.
When comes to buying locks for your home or business this old adage comes with an additional factor. Do you think a cheap lock can be called a safe and secure lock? Not only will a cheap lock break or fail sooner and need to be replaced sooner… how well will it protect your family and valuable possessions?
Are you part of the population that is severely challenged by the knowledge of what the global consumer economy is doing to humanity and the planet. Some folks are driven by price, and price alone… have you entered the land of $20 DVD players, $1,000 cars, cheap sushi, Big Macs… the list can and does go on and on.
What lesson will it take for you to learn about false economy? How much can you save by buying a cheap lock? How much can you lose by putting one into to use? We aren’t taking about just having to replace it again and again. We are taking about keeping your family and property safe from harm or complete loss.
If you buy a cheap lock to save money and it doesn’t protect you why did you bother to lock the door at all? A cheap lock will fail sooner than a quality lock. A quality lock can last a lifetime. And most important during that lifetime it offers you much better peace of mind. And how do you go about putting a value on peace of mind.
Visit 35th Avenue Locksmith and learn why a quality lock is priceless.
Stay safe at home with proper quality locks and safety devices. Are you ready to choose that quality locksmith? A quick visit to 35thavelocksmith.com can help solve all of your locksmith needs. We are a family owned and operated locksmith company in Phoenix Arizona. Our company is over 30 years old and at its heart is an experinced certified locksmith.

35th Ave Locksmith Presents Key Arizona Places: The Biosphere 2
Located near
Tucson the Biosphere 2 has a unique history which has now led it to its current
purpose and mission to serve as a center for research, outreach, teaching and
life-long learning about Earth, its living systems, and its place in the
universe.
The Biosphere 2
Mission is to serve as a center for research, outreach, teaching and life-long
learning about Earth, its living systems, and its place in the universe.
Catalyze
interdisciplinary thinking and understanding about Earth and its future;
Be an adaptive tool for Earth education and outreach to industry, government, and the public;
Distill issues
related to Earth systems planning and management for use by policymakers,
students and the public.
The University
of Arizona assumed ownership of Biosphere 2 in July 2011. A generous gift from the Philecology
Foundation helps fund Biosphere 2 operations and some research projects. Other
grants and awards, primarily from the National Science Foundation, also support
research activities.
In the 1800s,
the Biosphere 2 property was part of the Samaniego CDO Ranch. After several
changes of ownership, it became a conference center in the 1960s and 1970s,
first for Motorola, then for The University of Arizona. Space Biospheres
Ventures bought the property in 1984 and began construction of the current
facility in 1986 to research and develop self-sustaining space-colonization
technology.
Two missions,
between 1991 and 1994, sealed Biospherians inside the glass enclosure to
measure survivability. Behind this highly public exercise was useful research
that helped further ecological understanding. Several first-person accounts
have been published by former crew members that provide different perspectives
on the experiment.
In 1994,
Decisions Investments Corporation assumed control of the property and Columbia
University managed it from 1996-2003 and reconfigured the structure for a
different mode of scientific research, including a study on the effects of
carbon dioxide on plants. Columbia also built classrooms and housing for
college students of earth systems science.
The property was
sold June 4, 2007, to CDO Ranching and its development partners who then leased
the property to UA from 2007-2011. The enclosure now serves as a tool to
support research already underway by UA scientists. As a laboratory for
large-scale projects, such as the Landscape Evolution Observatory (LEO), the
university's stewardship of Biosphere 2 will allow the UA to perform key
experiments aimed at quantifying some of the consequences of global climate
change.

35th Ave Locksmith Keeping Your Tool Or Storage Shed Safe
Tuff Shed |
What can you do to protect the contents?
The first thing is how well made the actual structure is. Here are just two of the many, many options to choose from.
Steel Outdoor Storage Sheds are made from maintenance-free and corrosion resistant zinc-plated steel panels for long lasting durability. Sheds include a hinged door that is pad lockable (padlocks are usually not included) for added security. Open bottom floor-free design allows user to place shed on a variety of surface types. Slanted roof facilitates rain run-off and discourages accumulation of debris and critters.
TUFF SHED buildings are manufactured and installed locally, with domestically produced materials. Their local professionals help guide customers through the entire design and construction process, with installation of our buildings included in the purchase price. Their national presence as the industry leader allows TUFF SHED to deliver key advantages like product innovation, exclusive or even patented building features and raw material purchasing power that help to ensure our customers get great products.
As long as your shed is placed on and properly secured to a concrete pad the next consideration is keeping the door closed. It doesn’t matter what brand or style you choose to hold your tools and equipment the door is what you need to secure and that may mean a good dead bolt lock set or heavy duty padlock it is the first line of defense against burglars.
If your shed has a house type door then you need to choose a good deadbolt lock and one that is protected and designed for outdoor use. Make sure that both sides use a key on both sides that is called a double cylinder deadbolt. you don’t want them to just break the window and turn the thumb latch to empty out your expensive tools.
If you shed uses a padlock for locking choose one that is security minded. A typical garden shed can contain a wealth of expensive goods such as bicycles, tools, barbeques and lawnmowers.
Be mindful that tools and ladders can be used by thieves to break into your home, so it is vital these items are properly secured. It's important to consider the type of hasp for your padlock. Some cheaper hasps are too weak to withstand an attack - there is little point using a strong padlock with a weak hasp. A padbar is similar to a hasp and staple, but stronger and more resistant to attack. Consider the 'hinge' side of the door, burglars may pry a door from the hinge side if the lock side is strongest. Use non-return/security screws to secure where necessary.
Stay safe at home with proper locks and safety devices. Are you ready to choose that quality locksmith? A quick visit to 35thavelocksmith.com can help solve all of your locksmith needs. 35th Ave Locksmith Securing Your Garage 10 Tips
Do you close your garage door and assume they’ve locked out the elements and the bad guys. You might be correct; a garage door connected to an opener is pretty secure. But there are a few ways that crooks can get through your door. This blog will try to educate you on how they do it, and most important, how you can stop them or at least slow them down enough they go down the street to someone else.
1. Beef up your service door. The walk-through entry door (called the “service door”) is the No. 1 security weak spot in most garages. It should be equipped with a dead bolt and a heavy-duty strike plate, just like any other exterior door in your house.
2. Lock the entry door. If you have an attached garage, lock the entry door that leads into the house. Too many homeowners rely on the service door and leave the entry door unlocked.
3. Cover your window(s). If crooks can’t see the tools and toys in your garage, they won’t be motivated to get in. Sheer curtains or translucent window film lets in light but keeps valuables out of sight.
4. Add lighting. Bright lighting makes burglars nervous and just might make them go elsewhere. Motion detector lighting is better than on-all-night lighting because it saves energy when it’s off and attracts attention when it’s on.
5. Push and probe the top of the door. By pushing the door inward to create a gap at the top, a crook can insert a wire hook and fish for the release. Some use a wedge to hold the gap open.
6. Use a garage door sensor. The sensor sends a signal to the monitor, telling you whether the door is open or closed.
7. Lots of times garage security is undermined simply because someone forgot to close the door. A garage door monitor is a good reminder. Just stick the sensor to the door and set the monitor in a conspicuous spot like your nightstand. To find a monitor, search online for “garage door monitor.” The brand of your door or opener doesn’t matter; any monitor will work.
8. An automatic door closer provides even more security, since it closes the door whether you’re home or not. Installation requires some simple low-voltage wiring and takes less than an hour. To find one, search online for “automatic garage door closer.”
9. Consider a security system.
10. While on vacation use a padlock on the door track to prevent the door from opening at all.

35th Ave Locksmith Presents Key Arizona Places: Grand Canyon Railway
One of the Key places in Arizona is without a doubt the Grand Canyon. To help protect the Canyon the Park Service has changed many of the rules about access. With few exceptions you need to park outside the Canyon area and arrive either by bus or the Grand Canyon Railway from Williams.
Grand Canyon Railway provides a historic and fun journey to the canyon with the help of authentic western characters who bring the Old West to life.
In my opinion, if you want to visit the Grand Canyon, this is only way to go. It is a very relaxing and enjoyable way to get to the Grand Canyon but more than that it is a wonderful experience for all ages. We were very impressed with every aspect of the trip.
After a nice breakfast at the Grand Depot Cafe, we watched a comical wild-west shootout just next to the depot and hotel. We were introduced to characters that we met later during the train robbery.
The train departs from the depot in Williams at 9:30 AM and the 65 mile trip takes two hours and fifteen minutes. The journey to the Grand Canyon features a variety of different landscapes; from the Ponderosa pine forest surrounding Williams, to a gentle drop in elevation down to the wide-open prairie before climbing back up to the Pinion pine forests as the Train approaches Grand Canyon National Park. As we traveled we were told to keep our eyes out for elk, mountain lions, mule deer, squirrels, prairie dogs and even skunks. We were lucky enough to see a condor while we were in the Grand Canyon and a herd of elk just outside of Williams.
We were in a first class car with facing seats and large picture windows. The PSA (hostess) in our car was very accommodating, knowledgeable as well as entertaining. Some of the jokes were well worn but overall in great fun.
There were local entertainers who came by to entertain us on both legs of the journey. They were very good and interacted with the passengers. The train was robbed on our way back. The reaction of the children to the desperadoes was great to watch. All in all very good fun.
We had approximately three and half hours to explore the Grand Canyon. There are several ways to spend the time you.
By traveling aboard Grand Canyon Railway you are not only part of history in the making, you are also doing your part to help preserve the pristine, incredible beauty of Grand Canyon National Park.
The Grand Canyon Railway & Hotel has many package that vary in number of night stays and classes of service. Make sure your home is protected by safe and secure locks and if you have questions please call us at 602-242-5429.

Did you know that hunting camels is illegal in Arizona? Now that may have nothing to do with choosing the right locksmith but you never know when that knowledge might come in handy.

You generally two to the car, some for home, one for a storage room, a couple for office, and maybe a guest house as well. Without noticing it, you probably cope with locks several times a day.
What happens then when you lose some of those keys? Very clever, but keep copies of having to call a locksmith to come and help.
35th Ave locksmiths handle lock and key every day and all day. They are experts lock! What are some of the major issues that must Locksmith Deal With?
Some everyday problems that locksmiths have to be addressed is popular lose their keys. You will be surprised by the number of people who lose their keys, leaving them locked in the house or in the car; some people even let them locked in the car with the car running.
Most Phoenix locksmith state that if people change locks periodically or whenever they move into a new house or apartment, or condominium, most of the break-ins could be avoided. If you move into an apartment, your landlord must be willing to pay for the costs of hiring a locksmith, but even if he used to change the locks on your doors shouldn’t cost you more than a few hundred dollars. It is important to understand that anyone who lived before you probably has a set of these keys. And people who didn't probably live there too.
Always check their reputation. It’s easy to check business ratings and reviews on the internet. Endorsements by the Better Business Bureau and sites like Angie’s List and Home Advisor should be an indication that they are reputable.
A reputable locksmith will gladly provide a written estimate before starting work. Unforeseen circumstances can occur on any job, but the technician should know how likely they might be and let you know up front. If the on-site estimate varies greatly from the phone quote, don’t be pressured into overpaying.

35th Ave Locksmith When To Repair or Replace a Lock Set
Soon or later every lock will wear out or break. Like a things with moving parts locks don’t last forever. But the question is do you replace the lock or have the lock repaired? There are some cases where the choice is one that is cut and dried.
If you live in an average house with simple contemporary door handles and lock sets you may find that the least expensive option is to replace the lock yourself. It isn’t hard to do and you can even call us and we can give you guidance on how to make the change.
But in some cases where the décor of the house has a special theme you may find it easier to have your locks repaired rather than take the time and effort to find a lock set that matches what you have.
If you live in an older home and you want to keep the lock of your locks then you have no choice but to repair your existing locks as they simply don’t make a new replacement version.
Repairing a lock set is much different than just a simple replacement. For a repair that may even need to have the replacement part(s) made you will need to find a locksmith like those at 35th Ave Locksmith who have the skill and experience to do the rebuild correctly.
If that lock set is one that is an exterior door that needs to secure your home then the use of the correct locksmith is even of more importance.
If the lock is a very old one the last thing you want to happen during the rebuild is have an inexperienced owner or locksmith damage the lock set beyond repair. That is something than is actually possible if you have a limited budget and don’t want to pay to have the lock need to be recreated rather than just repaired.
If you need to have a special lock rebuilt bring it in to us and we will give an estimate of the cost of the repair so you can make an informed decision on whether to proceed with the repair or if a replacement is the best option for you.
We even buy old locks just to get the parts from them for future rebuilds. We aren’t locking for regular locks but the very old ones. Rather than send the old locks or glass handled door knobs to the landfill drop them by our shop and let us tell you if they have any real value. Your parts may help other folks in the future.

35th Ave Locksmith Out of the Box Safety Tips
Here are some safety tips you may have never heard of…
Keep Car Keys Next To Your Bed While You Sleep
If you hear a suspicious noise and suspect that someone is trying to break in, press the Panic button on your key ring. The car alarm will sound, and the burglar will have no choice but to flee the scene.
Plant Thorny Shrubs Under Ground-Floor Windows
They’ll add beauty to your garden and deter burglars.
Are All of Your Windows Locked
If a yard worker, repairman or unknown visitor uses the bathroom, he may unlatch the window so he can gain entry later. Be sure to double-check all of your locks.
Join a Community-Wide Crime-Prevention Program
Operation Identification is a nationwide project that encourages people to mark their property to combat burglary and theft. In some cities, burglary rates for Operation Identification households were significantly lower than those of non-participants.
Keep Your Money in the Right Drawer
Store valuables in your child’s sock drawer rather than in your nightstand. Thieves often scour the master bedroom but tend to leave children’s rooms untouched.
Keep Your Garage Safe
Keep your remote garage door from operating during the night by shutting it down or just unplugging it.
Don’t Help the Burglars
When finished with household chores lock up any tools that could be used to help in a break-in.
Upper Floors Can Be Entered
Keep sheds locked and ladders put away. Outdoor furniture can be stacked and climbed as well.
Windows Are Another Entry Point
If your doors have windows make sure the door also have key activated deadbolt locks.
Choose Your Locksmith Wisely
Some are unlicensed or dishonest so always look for a well-established locksmith business that is bonded and insured.

35th Ave Locksmith Presents Key Arizona Places: Hall of Flame Museum
The Hall of Flame Fire Museum and the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes, located in Phoenix, Arizona, has almost an acre of fire history exhibits, with over 90 fully restored pieces of fire apparatus on display, dating from 1725 to 1969. Most of the exhibits are American, but we also have pieces from England, France, Austria, Germany, and Japan.
The Hall of Flame sponsors the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes, which honors firefighters who have died in the line of duty or who have been decorated for heroism. The Hall also includes a gallery dedicated to the history of wildland firefighting in the United States.
The Hall is sponsored by the National Historical Fire Foundation, which was established in 1961 by George F. Getz, Jr.
George F. Getz, Jr. founded the Hall of Flame in 1961. He organized the National Historical Fire Foundation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to promote the programs of a museum which he named the Hall of Flame.
Mr. Getz began to collect fire apparatus after the Christmas 1955 present of a 1924 American la France fire engine from his wife, Olive Atwater Getz.
The couple was fascinated by the rig, and Mr. Getz began to collect apparatus of all types from all over the world.
Mr. Getz died in 1992. His grandson, George F. Getz, was elected to the presidency of the Foundation. Mr. Getz' son Bert, his grandson Bert, and his granddaughter Lynn are also members of the foundation's board of trustees.
The Getz family strongly supports the goals of the Foundation, which are three: The collection, preservation and exhibit of objects relating to the history of firefighting; fire safety education; and the recognition of firefighters who have died in the line of duty or who have been recognized for acts of heroism.
In 1974 the Hall of Flame opened its present building in Phoenix's Papago Park, adjacent to the Phoenix Zoo and Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
The Hall has grown from its original single gallery to five exhibit galleries, the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes, the museum store, a theater, a restoration shop, a collection storage building, and administrative offices.
The Hall's present size is 70,000 square feet, with 35,000 square feet of exhibit galleries. The collection has grown to over 130 wheeled pieces and thousands of smaller artifacts.
The Hall is in Phoenix at 6101 East Van Buren St. It is open Monday through Saturday from 9 to 5, and Sundays from Noon to 4.

35th Ave Locksmith Presents Water Safety Tips
Here in Arizona springtime and warm weather is just around the corner. It is never too early to think about water safety and drowning hazards around your home. At 35th Ave Locksmith we want to help you keep your family safe.
Did you know that drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4 (Injury Facts 2014). Most drowning and near-drowning incidents happen when a child falls into a pool or is left alone in the bathtub. Never leave a child alone near water: on the beach, at a pool or in the bathtub.
If you must leave, take your child with you. If you’re visiting a public pool, keep an eye on your kids. Enroll children older than age three in swimming lessons taught by qualified instructors. But keep in mind that lessons don’t make your child "drown-proof."
Don’t Leave Kids Alone in or Around Water
Never leave your child unattended around water. We know it sounds strict, but there is no room for compromise on this one.
Babies can drown in as little as one inch of water.
Put the cell phone away, forget about all the other things you have to do and give young children 100 percent of your attention when they are near or around water.
When using inflatable or portable pools, remember to empty them immediately after use. Store them upside down and out of children’s reach. These types of pools can pose a drowning risk.
Use quality locking fences with self-locking gates around your in-ground pool.
Remove Water From Tubs and Buckets After Use
Once bath time is over, immediately drain the tub.
Empty all tubs, buckets, containers and wading pools immediately after use. Store them upside down and out of children’s reach.
Close Lids and Doors
Keep toilet lids closed and use toilet seat locks to prevent drowning.
Keep doors to bathrooms and laundry rooms closed.
Learn CPR
Parents have a million things to do, but learning CPR should be on the top of the list. It will give you tremendous peace of mind – and the more peace of mind you have as a parent, the better.

35th Ave Locksmith Presents Social Media Safety Tips
You can’t put a lock on your computer to keep people out of your info but here are some safety tips to help keep you safer.
Think twice before you use social networking sites at work.
Talk to your kids about social networking. If you're a parent of children who use social networking sites, see How to help your kids use social websites more safely.
Use caution when you click links that you receive in messages from your friends on your social website. Treat links in messages on these sites as you would links in email messages. (For more information, see Approach links in email with caution and Click Fraud: Cybercriminals want you to 'like' it.)
Know what you've posted about yourself. A common way that hackers break into financial or other accounts is by clicking the "Forgot your password?" link on the account login page. To break into your account, they search for the answers to your security questions, such as your birthday, home town, high school class, or mother's middle name. If the site allows, make up your own password questions, and don't draw them from material anyone could find with a quick search.
Don't trust that a message is really from who it says it's from. Hackers can break into accounts and send messages that look like they're from your friends, but aren't. If you suspect that a message is fraudulent, use an alternate method to contact your friend to find out. This includes invitations to join new social networks.
To avoid giving away email addresses of your friends, do not allow social networking services to scan your email address book. When you join a new social network, you might receive an offer to enter your email address and password to find out if your contacts are on the network. The site might use this information to send email messages to everyone in your contact list or even everyone you've ever sent an email message to with that email address. Social networking sites should explain that they're going to do this, but some do not.
Type the address of your social networking site directly into your browser or use your personal bookmarks. If you click a link to your site through email or another website, you might be entering your account name and password into a fake site where your personal information could be stolen.
Be selective about who you accept as a friend on a social network. Identity thieves might create fake profiles in order to get information from you.
Choose your social network carefully. Evaluate the site that you plan to use and make sure you understand the privacy policy. Find out if the site monitors content that people post. You will be providing personal information to this website, so use the same criteria that you would to select a site where you enter your credit card.
Assume that everything you put on a social networking site is permanent. Even if you can delete your account, anyone on the Internet can easily print photos or text or save images and videos to a computer.
